'The Zingari Singers' have moved venue several times during their existence and adopted the unusual name from the Italian word for 'gypsy'; many years ago we were just the Singing for Pleasure' group, and that is our aim.
Our meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays the month at 2pm at the Methodist Church Hall, adjacent to Solihull station. They are always a real bundle of fun, we have a great laugh together and it's all very lighthearted. There are no auditions, we just like to sing!
Tea and biscuits are available afterwards where you can chat with other members. Everyone is welcome.
If you are interested please do come along on one of the Tuesdays, or if you prefer, contact our co-ordinator Pam W.
We have a repertoire of around 200 songs; here are some of the comments made recently with a list of some of the many songs we've done.
"I think the sessions are really great. I love finding out the different song choices & hearing the reasons people have chosen them"
"Another successful Zingari singing session thanks - we really enjoyed it"
"I have chosen this song because it brings back happy memories and two folk even danced to it - The Woolpackers - Hillbilly Rock and Roll!"
"Look forward to joining you next Tuesday. One of my favourite songs is 'Somewhere over the Rainbow'"
"I thought it went really well and getting better each time. Love to join you all next Tuesday"
