We read works by a wide range of authors. Recent authors have included Ian McEwan, Gervase Phinn, Anthony Trollope, Elif Shafak, Dorothy L. Sayers, Mick Herron, and Gail Honeyman. Some of the authors are new to us and others are well established. The books we read are a wide mixture of fiction, fantasy, humour, crime and classics with an occasional non-fiction choice, as was the case with “H is for Hawk”.
Having just read The Woman in White by Susan Hill, our next choice is Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. It’s a story we all think we know; some of us read it in childhood, others did not, and we thought it would be interesting to read it for ourselves, as adults, to see what we think of this classic and share our thoughts.
We would love to have some new members join the group so it you are at all interested then please get in touch.
