Solihull Widney

The motto of the u3a is “learn, laugh, live” and with Solihull Widney u3a group we can certainly guarantee the first two. You will learn from our speakers, activity groups and visits and you will laugh with friends as you learn.

We are a small very friendly group of “mature” people who come together to  enhance our lives in retirement by sharing activities, experiences and just talking with each other. You will meet new friends and enjoy new things. If you want to find out more about us you are welcome to attend a Core Meeting as a guest or send us a message via the Contacts Page. You can be assured of a warm welcome.

  • Walking group, July 2026 walk

After the rain in June, it was so good to see the sun for our July walk, and instead of raincoats we had to remember hats, sunscreen and water. 15 suitable equipped walkers set off from the car park of the King’s Head in Wellesbourne walking on footpaths through mainly arable land. • Boules in the Rain

It takes more than a bit of rain to stop the hardy u3a Boules players. Those that gathered on 10th June manged to get a number of games in despite several strategic withdrawals to the coffee shop for shelter as the rain came down. The hot drinks were needed at the end of the session…
